Don’t Stop Believin’

The video below is a cover of Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey, performed by Frozen Echo on June 29th, 2025, at Marc’s cottage. Joe developed a unique arrangement for the song inspired by several covers of the song by other artists. The result really suits the vocals of Kelly and Joe, as you can hear.

Babe

This is a cover of Babe by Styx, recorded on May 18, 2018 at a remote practice with guests. This video features our original drummer, Ted, before he retired. Shortly afterwards, JP joined the band as our new drummer.

Joe always dedicates this song to his wife, Kelly. Kelly, of course, is the other keyboard player in our band and also our co-lead singer.

As our first song with harmonies, we spent a lot of time on the vocals. Kelly, who sings competitively in two choruses, taught Marc, Ted, and Scott how to sing harmonies better. We worked on refining pitches, synchronizing the beginnings and ends of the phrases we sing, getting the vowels right, and other important techniques. There’s way more to singing harmonies than most people realize. I hope you enjoy the results of our efforts.

Takin’ Care of Business

The video below is a cover of Takin’ Care of Business by Bachman-Turner Overdrive, performed by Frozen Echo on June 29th, 2025, at Marc’s cottage. In this song, Kelly uses her keyboard to sound like a guitar, filling in the sound on this guitar-heavy song.

Livin’ On A Prayer

This is a cover of  Livin’ On A Prayer by Bon Jovi, recorded on August 31st, 2019, at Marc’s cottage in Québec. This was the last song of our second and final set, so before we finished the song we thanked the audience and a few other key people. That section has been cleverly cut out of the version below. You can watch the full, unedited version, too.

The laptop that records the various channels that make up our sound crashed just after the beginning of this song. Fortunately, we run the stereo output from the mixer to one of the camera audio inputs to create a backup copy, and that’s all we have for this song. So, we couldn’t even adjust the levels of vocals or instruments—what you’re hearing is what the audience heard that day.

Two Tickets to Paradise

This is a cover of Two Tickets to Paradise by Eddie Money, recorded on August 31, 2019 at Marc’s cottage in Québec.

This song is one of several in which every band member sings.
